Hello
I would like to calculate pipe flow with a geometry like the figure. I would like to use k-e model to make a initial condition. then, LES and acoustic model are spllied to calculate the sound generated by flow in the branch.Â
In order to do that, I want to fine mesh around the branch entrance, would you tell me how to do that?
Additionally, do you have any idea about the entrance length of the pipe? In my calculation, the entrance length was 14ft but it would be difficult for the computational cost. So I tryed to use 9 in (this is randomly decided) as a first try.Â
Thank you.

Have a look at proximity size function and Body of Influence, but as you'll be solving in Fluent also review adaption (mesh refinement).Â
