Can anyone help me what is the specific reason to slice a model in ansys aqwa.....I mean why do we slice it at the still water level .....is there a specific reason?

Hello,Â
You don't necessarily need to slice your model at the waterline any longer. The rational was that the meshing engine would create the necessary nodes at the waterline to distinguish between the diffraction/non diffracting elements.
You now have the option to automatically create thoses in the Mesh detail panel under "Waterline Node Creation" and you don't need to slice your geometry.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Ingrid
