A pressure (bar) is applied to the complete inner surfacea and the cup is fixed along the upper edge/perimeter. The geometry is created using midsurface from a solid geometry. The maximum Stress is along the edge of the geometry Fillet.
My Question is:Is the stress because there is an edge connecting the fillet surface and the bottom surface ? Will the stress be different if the complete geometry would be one complete surface ?So, is the stress correct or is it wrong because of the way the geometry is being interpreted ?ÂThanksMandeep -

Hi Mandeep,
I don't see any discontinuity in your mesh in the fillet and it makes sense to have the maximum stress in this region. To explore more, I would suggest refining your mesh in this region to see if the magnitude of stress changes with element size. You can also try varying the radius of the fillet and study that effect on the resulting stress.
