Other options for RBE3/CERIG

      Dear all,

I am connecting few lumped masses to a structure and I need to transfer the forces/moments of these masses to the structure. I tried with RBE3 but it broke the transient simulation I am running, and cerig seems not to take the selection of the first node done in this way:

      n,7,L_tot/2,(L_t-L_obl)*sin(pi/3),h_fl_up/2
      n,8,L_tot/2,(L_t-L_obl)*sin(pi/3),-h_fl_down/2
      n,9,L_tot/2,(L_t-L_obl)*sin(pi/3),-h_fl_down+T_fl/2 !added mass

      [...]

      ksel,s,kp,,18,19,1
      ksel,a,kp,,50,51,1
      nslk,s
      cerig,7,all,all
      cerig,8,all,all
      cerig,9,all,all

Do you have any idea of how to fix this or what are the other options for a rigid link?

      Thank you in advance!

      Hi

See also the MPC184, a 2 node line ‘element’ with rigid link or rigid beam option.

      All the best

      Erik
