Simulating Pure Shear

      Good day,

I am trying to simulate deformations due to shear loading. Calculating these deformations by hand are very simple but getting the FEM results to match has proven more difficult. The attached photo is the correct way of simulating pure shear and yields results similar to those obtained by hand calculations.

The problem I am experiencing is simulating these boundary conditions with ANSYS. I can't seem to figure out how to constrain a single node in the same manner as in the photo.

      Thank you for your help!

      Three BCs can do this.

The object is 10 mm tall and the displacement is 1 mm so the shear strain is 0.1
