I'm comparing the results of several Ansys Maxwell 3D analyses and I'm wondering why there are such big differences between the ohmic losses of the magnetostatic solution type and the eddy current solution type (about twice as much in the first case). Could someone please explain this to me?Â
I'm analysing the operation of a high voltage cable and I don't know which type of solution would be suitable. I have chosen the eddy current solution type but would like to obtain higher losses, how can I do this? -

Ansys EmployeeHi,
In eddy solver, all excitation is AC, and eddy effect is considered. Magnetostatic is DC.
