friction between a pin and a rotating disk

      Dear Ansys experts and users,

Well I am working on a problem where I have two component.

The first is a rotating disk with 100 rpm.

The second is Pin that jus has a friction with a disk and the pin apply a force F on the disk.

I am trying to use several force value, but if I used more than 1 N the problem will not be solved due to convergence problem ( I had also penetration issues).

the first thing I did is to adjust the mesh.

I applied some of the solutions suggested for different contact problems on changine the for;ulation to normal lagrange and adjusting pinball raduis and change normal stiffness to factor and also adjusting the relaxation damping factor and still I could not manage to solve the problem.

Please advise and thanks a lot for your contibution.

It is often very difficult to apply a Force to close a nonlinear contact gap and achieve convergence.
Try instead using a Displacment. You can then read the resulting Force reaction.
