SubscriberHello everyone.I'm trying to do an acoustic analysis (harmonic acoustics) using a composite shell/surface panel made of carbon fiber.Someone told me that it is impossible to make a shell using spaceclaim, so my question is : Is there another way to perform an acoustic simulation of the surface of a shell without using a shell? How?If anyone can answer this question, I'd appreciate it.If there's a video or pdf tutorial, I'd also appreciate it.Thank you very much! -

Ansys EmployeeHi
We did not say: “Someone told me that it is impossible to make a shell using spaceclaim”.
What we said is clear and can be found in here: /forum/forums/topic/vibro-acoustic-simulation/
”
Likely what you have is a shell/surface with acoustic domain on both sides. Unfortunetaly we can not have an acoustic domain on both sides of a shell/surface body.
Try using a solid body where this is not an issue (as 3D solid has a 3D thickness we can have an acoustic domain all around it).”
All the best
Erik
