How different between maximum mesh step in "mesh" and "EME solver"?
I'm trying to run simulation with EME. And I found there is same term in "mesh" and "EME solver". I would like to know how different between these 2 items. (I saw spot size converter video change setting in "mesh", not in "EME solver", is it because there is diffierence?)

And after I changed boundary condition to PML, and run till reach 100%, suddenly error status 'Job error' occured and not complete running process.

EME uses FDE to solve modes. FDE uses uniform mesh, which is different from FDTD. The two methods you should are similar to specify the mesh size. The difference is, FDE uses the specified uniform mesh in the whol simulation region, whereas the override uses the specified mesh size in its own region. Usually override mesh is used to make finer mesh in a small region.
The "job error" may be just temporary at that moment, or the file is crashed. Please open it again and see if still crashing. You may need to rebuild the simulation file from a new project.
