In that post/link I gave above, see my response and the image which shows how to set the beams to reinforcements):

"We have a much better workflow now (in 2020 release and onwards) for the rebars using the reinf264 elements - you just add your steel rebars as line bodies and then use a reinforcement type (see yellow highlight in the image below) in mechanical instead of beam and they will be automatically embedded in the concrete. So we do not need any contacts or anything. Just use reinforcement type"
