AQWA, How can I define additional stiffness(hydrostatic/connection stiffness)

      Hi,

I try to analysis floating structure using AQWA.

In order to consider fixed mooring floating structure, I try to various method addtional hydrostatic stiffness, connection stiffness and fender condition.

However I found some problem, additional hydrostatic stiffness and connection stiffness is used not hydrodynamic response but only hydrodynamic diffraction anlaysis.

I want to find results using hydrodynamic response, Frequency Domain Statistics, and others.

Please let me know How can I define addtional stiffness in Hydrodynamic response analysis

      Hello,

To include your additional stiffness in Hydrodynamic Response calculations, you should define a Connection Stiffness matrix with the appropriate values. Then you need to turn on Beta Options: close the Aqwa Workbench editor, from the main Workbench page navigate to Tools > Options > Appearance, and check the Beta Options checkbox (near the bottom of these settings). Re-open the Aqwa Workbench editor, and you should find an option 'Include Linear Connection Stiffness Matrices' at the bottom of 'Common Analysis Options' in the Hydrodynamic Response Analysis Settings.

      I hope this helps.

      Mike
