SubscriberI have a simulation, in which the case file was created in Ansys 19.1. When I try to load it in v. 19.2 (the version I have), I get this warning when the library is loaded and auto-compiled.Â
Online comments tell me that a possible reason for this is version mismatch and that I should delete the old library and compile the udf in the new version of Fluent. I have tried doing this a couple times and still receive the same error messages.
The compiler I am using is Visual Studio 2017 with the 64-bit compiler.
Best,
Claire

Forum ModeratorIt looks to be compiling OK, can you retry in serial?

SubscriberI generally need to run in parallel because of the computation time of the simulation. I tried running it in serial just now and the system automatically reverted back to parallel.Â
I got the same error again running with a different simulation, and so I believe it's a problem with my compiler. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Visual Studio 2017.Â

Forum ModeratorI don't think it's the compiler as that would report an error when compiling the code. Always test on a small model, this will also help identify if it's a problem with the UDF or that particular case.Â

SubscriberI tried running fluent with a couple other simulations that used UDFs and I kept getting the same error. Eventually I just uninstalled and re-installed Ansys, and it is compiling properly now.Â

Ansys EmployeeNice. Can you then mark this thread as "is Solved". Thanks!
