Hi,
No, symmetry and periodic boundary conditions are not similar. While symmetric boundary conditions mirror the behavior of the system across the boundary, periodic boundary conditions assume the system repeats itself beyond the boundary. The choice between them depends on the specific characteristics of the system being modeled and the requirements of the simulation or mathematical analysis.

Ok. Thank you. I am trying to find the periodic boundary but I am not find it. I saw video in youtube but the Ansys 2024 is different. Â

Rotational periodicity have to be set up in Domain interface option. Create a domain interface for the periodic boundaries and assign Rotational Periodicity under the Interface models option.Â
