Hi
I am new to ANSYS and seeking guidance on how to incorporate the Hashin failure criterion into my model. Specifically, I would like to know where to place the command (in the geometry or material section) and the correct syntax to use. I have looked through the ANSYS guide, but I'm still confused about the necessary steps to input the Hashin failure criterion. Could someone kindly provide a simple code example? Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for finding example videos or files demonstrating the implementation of the Hashin failure criterion in ANSYS.

Hi Ken,
You can refer to the below link for the commands for Hasin failure criterion.

Hope this helps,
Thanks

Thank you for the information, should I insert the command in the contacts, the geometry or the solution?

Hi Aurojyoti,Â
Thank you for the information, I tried to put the command inside the geometry but it gave me the error:
TB,FCLI,,,1 has already been defined. Please delete existing table to  overwrite.Â

Here is where the commands are inserted and both the content of two APDL are the same

FCTYP, DELE, EMAX, SMAX, TWSI, TWSR
FCTYP, ADD, HFIB
TB,FCLI,1,,16,1,,108000000,29800000,2300000,5500000,,,7800000,7800000
TB,DMGI,1,,,2,,1.6,60,0.06,0.2These are the material properties I got:
Failure criteria:
Parallel tension = 108 MPa
Parallel compression = 29.8 MPa
Matrix tension = 2.3 MPa
Matrix compression = 5.5 MPa
Longitudinal shear = 7.8 MPa
Transverse shear = 7.8 MPa
Fracture energy
Longitudinal tension = 1.6 N/mm
Longitudinal compression = 60 N/mm
Transverse tension = 0.06 N/mm
Transverse compression = 0.2 N/mm
I wonder what mistake I had made that cause the error?
