Hello all,
For the 3D composite beam, max. bending stress and Equivalent stress (von-mises) stress are the same? The beam is simply supported and point load in the middle.
Thank you!

Hi,
It may be because the load is bending in nature. Try applying a force in axial direction as well and there should be a difference in max. bending stress and equivalent stress.
