Hi,

The proper turbulent model for your CFD study is determined by the facts of your situation, such as Reynolds number, flow complexity, and needed precision. Ansys Fluent includes a variety of turbulence models.

you are analyzing air flow through PVC piping at approximately 8 m/s, if the flow is not too complex and you are mainly interested in the bulk flow characteristics, a standard k-epsilon model might suffice. However, if you need more accurate wall treatment, the SST k-omega model could be a better choice.

Hope this answers your question.
