SubscriberI'm conducting a CFD on a vacuum line (~8m/s) air thru PVC piping and am running both a laminar and a turbulent case.  My question is which turbulent model should I use for the analysis?  Thanks in advance!

Ansys EmployeeHi,
The proper turbulent model for your CFD study is determined by the facts of your situation, such as Reynolds number, flow complexity, and needed precision. Ansys Fluent includes a variety of turbulence models.
you are analyzing air flow through PVC piping at approximately 8 m/s, if the flow is not too complex and you are mainly interested in the bulk flow characteristics, a standard k-epsilon model might suffice. However, if you need more accurate wall treatment, the SST k-omega model could be a better choice.
Hope this answers your question.
