KANGUIZOLA
SubscriberI have a pump intake model with approximation pipes, entrance to the sump and 4 pipes as outlet.
The Fluent is showing
Note: zone-surface: cannot create surface from sliding interface zone.
Creating empty surface.
Â
I can see internal surfaces that do not appear, and many interfaces. I would to to have only the named surfaces created as boundary conditions.Â
Â
Can somebody help me with this.Â
Â
I alreadyÂ
- Create a Part of the internal fluid that I am using.
- Put Automatic in the Shared Topolgy Method (that produced a reduction in my mesh quality)
- Reset the Fluent Setup before starting.Â
Help.Â
Â
Regards, Karen Anguizola V.Â

Ansys EmployeeAdd (not attach) Screenshot (in text) of geometry and mesh to help us to figure out why Fluent is building up interfaces.

SubscriberI am currently doing an oil splash analysis for gear casing. If I initialize the solution IÂ get this error : zone-surface: cannot create a surface from sliding interface zone. Creating empty surface. What is the reason?

Subscriberme too, somebodys says this is unvoidable to do simulation with sliding mesh simulaiton. because curve interface has tolorence, when seperate the interior surface to 2 faces, extra faces(very small face) created, but no influence to result

Forum ModeratorIt's a warning. When Fluent creates the Interface Pairs a couple of extra surfaces are added into the solver to hold data. The solver may use these, but you can't alter or display them. If the model works it's nothing to worry about; if the model doesn't work it's not linked to that warning.Â
