SubscriberHello:
We have several Linux boxes that after checking the license server file on port 1055, it goes and uses different TCP ports to keep working. I need to keep changing the firewall rules to allow the new ports. We do not have that issue on the windows client which are using the default TCP ports 1055 and 2325. Is there a way to hardcore the ports into the linux client to only use the default ports (1055 and 2325).
Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeHello maitchoukow,
ANSYS Licensing on any system uses 3 ports.
By default:
LMGRD: 1055
ANSYS INTERCONNECT:2325
ANSYSLMD: Port designated by operating system of the license server machine.
This is the port that is dynamic.
To make it static, you can stop the license manager and edit the license file on the license server machine.
Add PORT=#### at the end of the vendor line.
EX:
SERVER LIC1 DISK_SERIAL_NUM=1e324fdc 1055
VENDOR ansyslmd PORT=1056
Restart the License Manager
This will make the License Manager use ports 1055, 1056, and 2325.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Geo
