SubscriberI am trying to calculate the volume fraction of coal particle (coal combustion, annulus geometry) but I am not sure if my calculation is correct. As I am using the Dpm injection (combustion particle) model I found that if the volume fraction is more than 12% this model is not suitable for the simulation. Please share the way to calculate the volume fraction of the coal particle.
Thank You

Forum ModeratorWhat volume of coal particles are you injecting? Ie using mass & material density.Â

SubscriberDensity of the particle is 1400kg/m^3 and the mass flow rate is 0.00067709kg/s.

Forum ModeratorOK, so that gives a volume. How does that compare to the flow? Both local to the injection and overall?
