Hi,
I want to apply a force that acts as a function of a variable whose range I would like to provide. However, when I use the force as a function command in Ansys Mechanical it says the parameter is not known.
Is there anyway to add a custom function and define its range.
The function is : F*cos(thetha)
I want to define the range for this theta which will be dependent on time and I want to apply this force only in x-direction.
Any help?

Best Regards,
Hamza Arshad

Try applying a Bearing Load to a cylindrical face on the geometry. A Bearing Load creates a force on the nodes where the maximum force is at 0 degrees and zero force is at 90 degrees on either side and the distribution of force is sinusoidal.
There is a related constraint called a Compression only Support. See this discussion.
