MUSIG model

      Hello Sir,

I am using CFX 19.2 with MUSIG model (7 size groups). I have run the simulation and got the converged solution. Sir, I would like to ask how to plot the bubble size distribution as a function of bubble diameter?

XY Chart might be useful here: Size fraction or Number density vs diameter / size of the bin or you can do it in third party program.

      Thank you for the reply.

"Number density/diameter/size of the bin" none of these options are available in the CFX.

Regarding MUSIG model the only available options are "Polydispersed Fluid 1.Group 1.Size Fraction"

I dont know how to get options like, bubble diameter, number density etc.

But you know the size of the bin as you have set up the case right?. All other quantities might be derived.

      Hi Amine,

For the polydispersed phase, what exactly does "size fraction mean" ? Is that just the fraction of our polydispersed phase divided by total polydispersed phase in that area? So for the polydispersed phases our size fractions should add to 1? Similar to a volume fraction?

I think I am after the same thing as the student above, and would like to understand my polydispersed phase's diameters and locations. You're saying the best way to do this is I will need to create an expression to calculate my mean particle diameter?

I found these slides (apparently from Ansys) http://ptsanmiguelense.com/wsMescal/server/manualesSSC/CFX160_Multiphase_Workshop_08_MUSIG_and_Non_Drag_Forces.pdf

that seem to use mean particle diameter for the polydispersed air? Did they create this variable or is there now a way for Ansys to generate that number?

      Thanks!

volune fraction of bin/volume fraction of phase.

mean particle diameter is available you fo not need to create anything
