I am trying to export the deformations of each node over time to an Excel file, create a snapshot matrix in MATLAB, perform Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD), and generate a Reduced Order Model to predict the results. While I am able to obtain the average or final deformation results for each node, I can't get the deformations over time. It will be really helpful if i can get detailed process on how to obtain results over time.
Thanks
Daeho

Hi Daeho,
Which type of analysis you are performing, Static or dynamic? If you are on static, how many time steps and sub steps have you defined? The results are saved at end of every time step by default. In case you have defined only one time step, and the analysis is converging in one sub step (this is the case mostly in linear static structural), then you will have result set for only one time point.Â
If your analysis is multistep and still you are getting just one result point, make sure "Store Results At" under the output controls in Analysis settings is set to 'All Time Points' and not on 'Last Time Point' (See screenshot below). This option controls when results are getting saved.
Thanks!
Kaushal.
