Ansys Licensing Error

I installed Ansys Lumerical but there are problems with the licensing setup. I have two issues:

      1. I’ve tried uploading the license file I retrieved from the Licensing Portal (where I could see our purchased entitlement is active) to the Ansys License Management Center, and I’m receiving the error: “The hositid in this license file is not a valid hostid for this license server machine”, despite the file containing the default 1055 SERVER port (find attached screenshots of the license file and management center error page). Also, the View Status page in the center shows that the Manager has stopped, and attempting to restart it gives the same hostid error. I’ve looked through the forum and cannot find an answer that helps resolve the issue.
      2. Since I haven’t activated the licensing settings, trying to Evaluate any of the Solvers in the Ansys Optics Launcher prompts me to “Request Trial License”. I assume this is not the route to take as we already have an activated entitlement from the Licensing Portal, but even if I pursue that, the request crashes at 4% with an error message. Should I attempt to resolve this or do I need to just deal with issue #1?

      Hi Manoj,

Click on "Get System Hostid Information" and compare the details with the license file you are trying to upload, it should be same hostid and hostname. If it's not same then rehost the license from the licensing portal with the correct hostid and hostname.
