SubscriberHello, after some advice from this forum I managed to obtain a continuity residual below (1.10^-3) by reducing a difference in cell size between two regions of my geometry. I wanted to know how to explain the contours of mass imbalance that you can compute after the solution and what does it mean in the regions where it seems to be high. Is it a defect of the mesh, incorrect boundary conditions... ? The mesh is as follows:

What does these regions mean? I couldn't find the answer online... Thanks in advance

Ansys EmployeeMass imbalance of the residuals is nothing but the difference between the mass entering and leaving the cell. If you notice the contour legend of the figure you attached, the maximum is on the order of 10^-11, which is "effectively" zero. In other words, its a very well converged solution

SubscriberOk thank you very much I arrived close to this conclusion, but being fairly new to fluent I still doubt myself a lot. Just wanted to be sure

Ansys EmployeePlease mark this as Is Solved. Please bear in mind that the residual of mass imbalance are not scaled and you need to relate them to actual mass rate.
