Element size too small

      Hello,

I wanted to insert a nearfield sizing and selected my body to do this. Then I wanted to create a rough mesh of 10 cm.

However after meshing (which takes way longer than it has too) the elements are much much smaller. I don't know how to fix this, can anyone help me?

      Regards,Leon

Check your domain size and units, then alter the minimum size in the mesh settings.

I now can get a more rough size around the edges of the domain. However, changing the sizing locally around my model doesn't seem to do anything. I tried every size from 10 mm to 100 m, but it still makes too many elements.

Edit: I also can't change my growth rate

You have to change the element size in each of the edge or face or body sizings that you used to create the mesh.

In my case, I had similar problem. I had many edge sizings. Changing the global mesh element size doesn't change anything.
