SubscriberHi everyone, I have a problem with writing a script that defines the geometry of a glued laminated timber beam in APDL (2300mm*120mm). The beam consists of 6 layers (each 20mm high) bonded with adhesive. Each layer is divided in 23 segments with different mechanical characteristics but the same element type. I have previously generated these characteristics in MATLAB using 300 Monte Carlo simulations. My .csv file with characteristics contains a total of 6*23*300 = 41,400 rows, each containing the elastic modulus, tensile, and compressive strength for each segment. Thank you in advance for your help, and I apologize for any inconvenience.Â

SubscriberThank you very much for your answer. I have modeled the geometry of 2D beam consisting of 6 layers, each layers has 23 segments (138 segments in total). Next thing is to generate material properties (modulus of elasticity, tensile and compressive strength) for each segment for 100 simulations. I have it in excel file in rows for each segment. Can you please help me with commands I need to use in order to assign three properties for each segment and to perform 100 analysis one after another. Thank you very much and sorry for bothering.
