Hello. I put 2 mode sources at the 2 inputs of this Y combiner, and put 1 monitor at the output of the Y-combiner. However, I can not get any results for destructive interference. I always get around 80% transmission at the output. I tried setting 0 and 90, 0 and 180, and other types of combinations of phases of these 2 input mode sources, but the transmission results do not change. Can you help me find out what am I doing wrong?I am trying to create destructive interference

Sorry my reply with screenshots failed to upload.
I tested the y-branch file with two sources at the left, with phase difference 0,90 and 180, the transmission is not the same. However their difference will be dependent. Please also monitor the reflection and see how much loss it has in different cases.

I am confused. You received 100 vs around 70% transmission, right? However, what I was trying to do is have 100 vs 0% transmission to demostrate destructive interference. Is somthing like this achievable and if yes, then how?

Anything can be possible by careful design.
