Optimizing the beam profile cross-section with topology optimization?

  Hello. Is it possible in ANSYS with topology optimization optimize the profile cross-section of a beam? I am attaching an example.

  Hi,
  yes you can optimize the crossesction. This is based on which region of your model is not utilized properly for the analysis you are doing.

  Hello Aurojyoti Prusty.
  I tried optimizing the profile, but with the topology optimization the program removes material from areas. I want to optimize the shape of the cross-section, as I showed in the example above. Is there another method for this type of optimization or do I need to define additional requirements?
