So i have made this body in solidworks and imported it in Ansys in various formats i.e., igs , stp etc but on enclosure or boolean i would get the same error "the operation would result in non-manifold bodies". I have also tried to repair the body with the help of inbuilt ansys repair options but none of that worked.I need help in this regard. I have  uploaded the geometry in STEP format. i have to submit this project in a few days so  If anybody can help i would be really  thankful

Boolean is only well-defined if at all points in the volume it is clear as to whether you are inside or outside of a solid.

Imagine two separate cubes sharing a vertex -- at the vertex is not clear where the volume is, part of one cube or part of another.

Same for two cubes sharing an edge.

Same for an elliptical body of revolution and a plane -- your case.

Either make them intersect a little bit, or make them separated -- you are making the CAD job too difficult by being point-touching like that.

as ansys employees we can not download attachments. please insert some images. 

please use spaceclaim to do boolean operations. 

make sure that bodies are intersecting clearly.
