SubscriberHi, I am modelling a mixing tank (air & water) where I am using VOF to track the interface deformation between air and water which forms a vortex. I want to also add solid particles and monitor how they interact with the vortex and mixing.
Is the VOF to DPM solver suitable to carry out these investigations?

Ansys EmployeeHi,
I suggest you to try VOF model along with the DPM.
VOF to DPM model can be used there is transition of liquid droplet right like in case of atomizer.Â
You can check VOF DPM in user's guide: 25.3. Setting Up the VOF Model (ansys.com)
And for DPM :Chapter 23: Modeling Discrete Phase (ansys.com)
Hope this helps you.
