So I was trying to define a material with properties of human bone from above data, found in a handbook. But ANSYS does'nt seem to accept it can someone point out whats wrong?

      Data from handbook

      Young's Modulus X direction = 1.01 E 10 Pa

      Young's Modulus Y direction = 1.01 E 10 Pa

      Young's Modulus Z direction = 1.79 E 10 Pa

      Poissson's Ratio XY = 0.62

      Poissson's Ratio YZ = 0.4

      Poissson's Ratio XZ = 0.4

      Shear Modulus XY = 3.3 E 9 Pa

      Shear Modulus YZ = 3.3 E 9 Pa

      Shear Modulus XZ = 3.3 E 9 Pa

You can't put those values into the Orthotropic Elasticity material model because there are bounds on the values of the moduli in an Orthotropic material.

ANSYS has Anisotropic Elasticity that you can use.
