Bilinear Isotropic Hardening Values

      Hello,

How would one go about finding the needed values for the Yield Strength and Tangent Modulus within the bilinear isotropic hardening to properly simulate the plastic deformation of aluminum alloy?

      Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. I am going through a tutorial and they have these values of Yield Strength and Tangent Modulus within the bilinear isotropic hardening portion. Isn't the Yield Strength under that tab just the yield strength of the material? Or is it different? Thanks

Yes, Yield Strength in the Bilinear Isotropic Hardening material model is just the yield strength of the material.

Thank you. When looking at the time plot for equivalent stress, why are there three lines and what does each represent?

      Thank you.

Are they along all three axis?

The three lines are Minimum, Average and Maximum values of Stress. You can turn off the Minimum and Average if you only want to see the Maximum on the Tabular data window.

      Hello sir,

How would any one finding the needed values for the Yield Strength and Tangent Modulus within the bi-linear isotropic hardening to properly simulate the plastic deformation of Niti alloy (Nitinol)?

      Thank you

      .

      Hello,

I wanted to use the multilinear isotropic hardening of aluminum 1000 series . I could not get the data of plastic stress and strain(experimental data) . Can any one help me with the data?

      .
