SubscriberHi, does anyone know if this license can be used by people who are no longer students but would like to self-learn Ansys software?Â

Forum ModeratorThanks Peter.
Jan - if you look the second header of the link is Student and Teaching. The software is for learning, ie non commercial or research work. If you're trying to learn the tools at home on a personal PC then you're a student of Ansys simulation. You may also want to review the Learning section on here.Â
If you're working for a company that has Ansys products and trying to learn without using one of the full licences please talk to your account manager.Â

Subscriber Thank you for the answer.
I am trying to learn the tool at home on a personal PC, my company even doesn't have Ansys. However above mentioned by you header is "License Form Excerpt", and there is a sentence: "Licensee and its contract users must be or be affiliated with an academic facility. Licensee may additionally permit individuals who are students at such academic facility to access and use the program(s)." That is a reason why I am asking about Ansys Student free sofware for self-learners, without any affiliation.

Forum ModeratorI'll check, the original intent was for anyone to be able to learn, but I'm technical and not legal...Â

SubscriberThank you. However, I think that Ansys Student - sofware about which I was asking, is something else than Academic License - to which terms we now refer and discuss.

Forum ModeratorYou're fine,  https://www.ansys.com/en-in/academic/students/ansys-student  assuming it's for "self learning". Thanks for checking.Â
