      Hello,

I am Pedro, a student at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Our Ansys Fluent course uses Ansys 18.2 and I can't find this version on the web.

Can you help us get the 18.2 version?

      Thank you very much.

      Hi Pedro,

      I've just shared this link

      https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Xy_4FhmWAU9eDduiyzVHjZm_R57bpfaX/view?usp=sharing

      on another post.

Please note that this link will expire in 7 days.

Also, please encourage your school to update the material for the course to later version of ANSYS, like 19.2 or 2019 R1.

      Thanks,

      Win

      Hi NelsonJosue96 ,

Sorry, we don't have ANSYS 18.2 in 32-bit systems.

Please refer to this platform support document for ANSYS v18.2

      Hi Jun -yi - Jiang,

You should be able to save Fluent 19.2 and open in a stand-alone Fluent 18.2 (not Workbench-Fluent 18.2).

      Thanks,

      Win

Please bear in mind that reading a newer case is not always granted to work into an older version.

      Hello,

I am Jorge, from Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).

We would need the 18.2 version for an academic task, and I have seen that it is no longer available on this site.

      Can you help us?

      Thank you.

Ansys Student is no longer available for R18.2    If you need the full version for the University your supervisor or the University ASC will be able to download the files from the Customer Portal.

The current version is 2020R1, why not use that?

Because R18.2 is the installed one in the University department I am doing the task with, but now I need to work from home, so I should use that version. If there is no alternate option I will try with the latest version.

      Thank you for answering.

If you can't VPN in then 2020R1 Student is the best option. If you're using Fluent it may be possible to read the 2020R1 files into R18 if you save as .cas and .dat : this isn't usually recommended but can sometimes work. Workbench never opens in an older version of the code.
