Scripting in ANSYS maxwell

       Hello,

I would like to run scripts that generate maxwell simulations for me. There are several key features I can't manage to do from script however. First off, I would like to be able to interact with names just from the script without having to be in maxwell, and I can't seem to find an option to pull all the names of the signals in the design. Otherwise, I don't know what each specific part is called and I wont be able to interact. I also want to be able to do things like assign excitations, but I don't see how to do that other than by knowing exactly which number face it is that I am looking at. Optimally I would like to be able to do so by coordinate in space, is there a way for me to do this? I've found most of the ANSYS scripting guides pretty unhelpful, so if there is a better resource, please let me know.

      Hi,

Using "Tools - Record scripts to file" is always a good way to start. And searching the scripting manual for commands like GetObjectIDByName may help with more specific operations of what you are trying to do.
