ANSYS Explicit Dynamics vs LS-Dyna

  What is the difference between ANSYS Explicit Dynamics and LS-Dyna? Is the theory different and if so, how?

  The basic theory behind the solver for Explicit Dynamics (AUTODYN) and LS-Dyna is the same.
  
  The difference is Explicit Dynamics is included in the Student license and the paid-for Mechanical Enterprise license, while the LS-Dyna solver is a purchased additional license.
