I try to solve rayleigh taylor instability phenomenon in ansys. The properties are similar to thisÂ
http://gerris.dalembert.upmc.fr/gerris/examples/examples/rt.html The problem is hwen I run the case in ansys, the lower fluid starts to penetrate in the upper one in the form of two mushrooms, please see screenshot. If anyone can help where should I check? -

What are the boundary conditions you have on the walls? It almost looked fixed boundary condition, you probably want symmetric. Also is this a 2D simulation?

and yes the simulation is 2D. My end goal is to solve in axisymmetric but first I am trying to run in 2D.Â
