Mesh Cell Reduction

      Hello

So I am trying to carry out a CFD analysis at a pipe elbow using fluent. I am done with the meshing however when I tried to move the meshed geometry over to Fluent I couldn't because my cells were maxed out. I am trying to figure out how I can limit my cells to 512,000.

      Thank you

      Hello,

You could try to use local refinements such as body / face sizing and body of influence (rather than global controls) to refine your mesh locally. In addition to this, you could try to decompose your geometry and make sure your have a structured mesh. This will greatly reduce the number of cells. Here are some videos in this playlist which might be of some help to you.

So this is my first time using ansys for a class project so i'm not sure where to find all this . Is this what you are referring to by face sizing?
