The RTX 2080 Ti ($1,200) is a graphics card for driving the display, it is not a computation accelerator for solving structural models because it does not do double precision floating point operations. It only has a single precision floating point capability which is insufficient to support structural computation.
Ansys has a list of cards that are computation accelerators that do have a double precision floating point capability. For example, the NVIDIA Tesla A100 ($10,000) or the H100 ($30,000) card has this feature.Â
