SubscriberHello,
I have a small problem to implement a buoyancy force term to the z momentum.
I’m modelling laser melting. The buoyancy model is activated.
I'm facing problems to implement a buoyancy force term to the z momentum.
There are three-momentum source to freeze the Fluid below a certain temperature to achieve material melting due to laser heat source and they are working just fine, without a buoyancy force term Fb.Â
If I run the case with the Fb term, which is defined as follows, an error is happening.
I plotted the CEL expression in CFX pre over the whole possible data range, without any error.
Everything in the equation is defined, but I get still this error:
I don’t understand why the error is happening. I don’t see the error.
Â
With best regards
Steffen B

Ansys EmployeeIt's not clear what the exact problem is. Since this is happening at the first coefficient loop at t=0, it may have something to do with initialization of the SteelSolidLiquid temperature field. You could try running a steady-state version of the model 1-2 iterations and try initializing the transient model from that steady-state solution to see if this resolves the issue. If not, you'll need to submit a service request to allow Ansys Support to look into it further.
