SubscriberI am trying to measure the self-inductance and mutual inductance between four coils using maxwell 3D with eddy current solution type. The coils are made with polygon helix, and have these specifications:
Polygon segments = 8Â
Polygon radius = 0.6mm
Start Helix Radius = 155mm
Radius change = 0
Pitch = 1.40mm
Turns = 11
Segments per turn = 36
Righthanded = 1
Whenever I analyze this coil system, I will get this error: The quality of some mesh elements is not acceptable for solution. Please check the geometry for issues in the following location (in meters): X=-0.152844, Y=0.0243683, Z=0.00395514, which points to the geometry of the coil. However, no matter how I change the mesh settings, such as adjusting resolution, using dynamic surface resolution, and curvilinear meshing to all curved surfaces. It does not work. I even try adjusting the configuration above but remaining the same general shape; it does not fix this error. Another method I tried is to add the environment variable skip mesh =1, but it doesn't seem to apply to the application. If you know how to fix it, please comment below.Â

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Please go to design settings and check "skip mesh checks" under the validation tab.
