SubscriberHello, I would like to design a simple basic pulley and this is what I have done so far:
Also, I have created contacts and joints like these:
I am trying to simply simulate a rotation. I have given the frictional coefficient as 0.5 and the joint - rotational velocity is 0.1 rad/sec. But the result looks like this:The rope has turned with the pulley and I dont understand why. There is earth gravity I have added so that shouldnt happen, right? The materials I have chosen for pulley and rope is structural steel and resin epoxy, respectively. Any help is appreciated.

Forum ModeratorHi,
Can you share the snapshots of how each joint and contact is defined? I tlooks that all the parts are deforming under gravity. Please refer to the following link as well:

Forum ModeratorHi,
You can try giving displacement to the rope and pulley should turn with rope moving.
