SubscriberI'd like to download the student version of ANSYS on my home computer. However my university still uses version 18.2, and thus I would like to download this version. Previous threads here mention the "Prior Releases" tab, however it only provides version 19.2 or 19.2.
Is there a way for me to get ANSYS STUDENT 18.2?

Ansys EmployeePlease request your university to update the version soon.
In the meantime, I have shared this ANSYS Student v18.2 installation package. Note: This will be available only for the next 7 days.

Forum ModeratorUnless you need to transfer files back to run on the Uni system just use the current version: there's a sticky re previous versions.Â

Subscriber Hello,
I'd like to download the student version of ANSYS on my home computer. However, my computer still uses Windows 8 version and thus I would like to download an appropriate ANSYS version because the 19.2 and 20 versions are incompatible.Â
Is there a way for me to get previously ANSYS STUDENT version?
Thanks.

SubscriberI would like to have ansys v 17 any version, as the study material of my course follows version 17 of ansys, and I can't keep up with version 19, since it changes some things at the time of modeling.

Ansys Employeeplease use latest 2020R1. you will find all commands in 2020R1 which are available in r17.Â
if you still want r17, you will need to contact your university admin.Â

Keyur

Forum Moderator@bea8m I'm not even sure if the older versions were compatible with Windows 8! As Keyur points out (and as per all the other threads on the topic) we only have current plus two older builds available for Ansys Student.Â

SubscriberUnderstand. In this case, I'm having difficulties even with the new version in relation to resources, as some forms of interface and commands have changed. The material I have that teaches me better, is being made in versions v.17. I have version 19 on my computer. So I would need an older version that would be v.17.

Forum ModeratorWhich is no longer available as Student. If you can contact your University IT department you may be able to use the site software remotely: we do not have any versions for Student other than those already mentioned.Â
