SubscriberHello Community,
A sample of the bolt-pretension model that I am simulating with Workbench is depicted below:
Â
1. Is there a possibility to apply symmetry if I use only half of the model (resulting from a cut of a plane in yz)?
Â
2. I want to take half of the model cut by a plane in xy direction like in the picture below. Should the symmetry region be like depicted in order to get the same results as the full model?
Thank you

SubscriberI would expect either symmetry plane to work, but there is a difference in how you set the Pretension Force.
When you slice in the yz plane, you apply the full force, but when you slice in the xy plane, you apply only half the force.

SubscriberIt seems to give different results in each case

SubscriberPlease insert some screen shots to show the difference in results and show the bolt pretension in each case.
