SubscriberCan anybody help me with the real constants needed for Solid 46? I have an old code which is using Solid 46 element definition. What are the new elements which can be used in place of Solid 46?

SubscriberIt should be solid185 (HEX 8 nodes) or solid186 (HEX 20 nodes), that also have the possibility of a layered option.

See the ansys help for more info about these elements.

As for solid46 real constants, never used, but if your search the internet for' solid46 and R and RMORE' than there are some examples

SubscriberThanks! I will try these elements.
It would be a great help if you could post the link for SOLID46 real constants. I have tried searching a lot but couldn't find any source. -

Ansys Employee46 was a layered solid and it was removed at 12.0. The release notes recommend using solid185 with keyopt 3 of 1 or solsh190.
Hope this helps.
