I saved a case and corresponding data file in Fluent. After saving, I closed Fluent. Then, I opened Fluent and read the case. When I attempted to read the data file, I received the following messages that began with 

"999999: mpt_accept: error: accept failed: Invalid argument"

for more than 100 pages and ended with 

 "The fl process could not be started.

Is there a bug in Fluent that is causing this error? How do I fix this error?

Can you read another case/data file`?

Start parallel but give 0 as number of CPU: Can you now read the file?

I received the following error.

Error: received a fatal signal (Segmentation fault).

 

Error Object: #f

Possible the case is corrupt: Which models were activated.

open fluent in meshing mode. 

go to windows start > fluent >  click on meshing mode. 

read case file in meshing mode and check the mesh. 

then you can switch to solver mode.

I tried the suggestion from the previous post, but I received the following messages and fluent could not be started.

The mesh has been modified.

Previously saved data files are incompatible and cannot be read.

The fluent process could not be started.

did you try suggestion of parallel post or suggestion of meshing mode?

so when you tried to read case file in fluent meshing, it gives error. 

then most probably your case file is corrupted.
