Plotting chart on Coefficient of pressure vs angle (? = 0 to 360 degree) around a circular wall

      hi,

In fluent post processing i want to plot a curve Coefficient of pressure vs angle (θ = o to 360 degree) around the circular wall at certain distance from the nose of a sub marine shapes body. I don't know how to do it ? can anyone help me.

      TIA

This isn't what i'm looking for. I know how to plot in cartesian co ordinate. But i want to plot in polar coordiante (0 to 360 degree). can you help me with that specific problem.

      TIA

You want to plot around the object, eg at a constant axial distance from the pointy end?

yes. that is what i'm looking for. Can you help me with my problem?

OK. Create an iso-surface at the correct axial position (iso surface of mesh) and make sure you select the wall(s) of the body when you do this. The surface you create will be a line on the wall at the mesh position you define: the explanation isn't overly clear but will make sense when you do it.  You can then use the xy plots to show whatever against line position (possibly in cartesian co-ordinates unless you can also get radial position out of the system somehow: probably a function of x & y assuming z is axial).

i have created the line on the wall.  I want to plot it in Cp vs θ. but it allows me to plot Cp vs z. How can i use fuction to do so?

You should also be able to plot against length. To plot against angle you'll need two lines representing the two halves of the hoop (split on x or y axis) and create a custom function of inv_tan (x/y) & plot that to get the angle. Read up on iso-clips to create the lines.

I don't get it. Can you explain it more elaborately. I'm new to ansys.
