I am meshing a nozzle with circular outlet. The flow coming out from the nozzle expands into a big cylindrical domain. When I am trying to use multizone meshing, it shows two errors:
1. Multizone found free block in swept body.
2. A mesh could not be generated using current meshing options and settings.
But sometimes, it shows no error and I get the desired mesh; and this happens once in 50 times. Is there a way to solve this issue ? I have faced this problem many times.
Kindly help me with the same.
Thank you !

February 24, 2019 at 12:59 pmpeteroznewmanSubscriberTry slicing the geometry in half using a plane through the axis of the nozzle. Put the two pieces in a multi body part to use shared topology.
If that doesn't work, use another plane 90 degrees away from the first plane. -

Slicing the geometry into half was not working. But slicing it into 4 parts worked.
Thank you
Sorry for late confirmation.

Hi,
I am working on a very complex geometry with many cylinders like geometry. Splitting each of them into four parts and then mesh it is kind of tedious.
So I was wondering if there is any other alternative apart from what you mentioned above.
Thank You !

On a complex geometric model, I might spend an equal amount of time preparing the geometry for meshing as I do building the rest of the model and solving it.

January 30, 2021 at 7:27 amyadavab78SubscriberI am trying to do mesh these bodies there is always an error regarding the meshing while performing axisymmetric axis can anybody help me with it what i ca do below is the modelnMesher failed to mesh topological edges.nOne or more entities failed to mesh. The mesh of the bodies containing these entities may not be up-to-date. However, meshing might be successful on the other entities.I am providing below cad file and ansys file i want to do axisymmetric on the body but i am unable to mesh after applying symmetrynplease look into it is there anywat to solve itn

January 30, 2021 at 10:32 pmpeteroznewmanSubscribernOpen the geometry in SpaceClaim. Use Split Body on the top and bottom faces to separate the tube. On the Workbench tab, use the Share button.nThe creates geometry that is much easier to mesh, but you can't save this on a Student license because the number of bodies or faces exceeds the 50 or 300 limit.n

February 10, 2021 at 12:53 pmAakashkasuteSubscriberHello sir,nI am unable to solve this model with the given boundary conditions. I am attaching here the reference paper which I am referring and also the ANSYS workbench model.nI have to do thermal and structural analysis of the above model.nPlease help me to solve this issue.nnThank you.n
