I want to simulate an assembly, and in some parts the results are uninteresting, can one apply forces to these uninteresting parts even if one has assumed them to be rigid?

thank you very much, sorry for late answer, because I was on the road all weekend. yes i tried that always happens to me and if you define a component as rigid, you can not exert any force into that component (see picture)

In general, you can apply remote force on the rigid bodies.
